The Hummer

The letter read:
This morning, I placed a flower in a vase on my desk
I poured myself a second cup of coffee, well maybe, it was the third
The door stood open to the morning
I was dreaming, I was dreaming... the joy of life

Sometimes I wish there’s a place we could go
Somewhere to go to pick up the pieces
Someplace to go where no one knows
Do you know? Do you know when it’s time to go?

And then it read:
Whatever you give they always want something more
You have the truth, I have the voice
You may feel alone and unprotected
The eyes in your mind probe for danger
Before it appears, why so worried

Sometimes I wish there’s a place we could go
Somewhere to go to pick up the pieces
Someplace to go where no one knows
Do you know? Do you know when it’s time to go?
